about

VORE TULLYE - Graham Rorie

This is a reel Graham named after one of the oldest folk tales of the Northern Isles - one of a vicious battle between two deities: the benevolent Sea Mither and the evil and destructive Teran.

These all-powerful beings fight first in March - The Vore Tullye - where The Sea Mither reigns victorious; she brings life, hope and light to the isles, paving the way for a joyous Spring and Summer.

The two won’t clash again until Autumn at the Gore Vellye where the evil Teran reigns supreme. All living beings are subject to his vicious rule for another two seasons. And so it goes.
